1. Is there a train from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to the city centre?

Yes, you may take the KLIA Ekspres or KLIA Transit from KL International Airport (Terminal 1 or Terminal 2) to KL Sentral Station in the city. KL Sentral Station is a major transit hub. From there, you can connect easily by LRT/MRT/monorail/taxi/ride-hailing services to your final destination.

2. What is the difference between KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit?

The KLIA Ekspres is a dedicated, non-stop service from KL International Airport to KL Sentral Station in the city. The 57-km trip takes 28 minutes from KLIA T1 (33 minutes from KLIA T2) and is the fastest airport transfer in town.

The KLIA Transit service stops at 3 intermediate stations between KL International Airport and KL Sentral in the city, namely Bandar Tasik Selatan, Putrajaya & Cyberjaya and Salak Tinggi. The total journey time between KLIA T1 and KL Sentral is 35 minutes (39 minutes between KLIA T2 and KL Sentral).

4. How do I get from KL International Airport to the MRT Line?

If you intend to take the MRT Putrajaya Line, from the airport board the KLIA Transit service to Putrajaya & Cyberjaya Station. Exit the station and take a 2-minute walk to Putrajaya Sentral MRT Station (station PY 41) to board the MRT train.

If you intend to take the MRT Kajang Line, from the airport take the KLIA Ekspres service to KL Sentral Station. After arriving at the KLIA Ekspres Arrival Hall in KL Sentral, walk (about 5 minutes) to the Muzium Negara MRT Station (station SBK 15) to board the MRT train.

5. How do I get from KLIA to an LRT Station?

You can take the KLIA Ekspres train from the airport to KL Sentral Station and upon arrival, walk to the Kelana Jaya LRT Station (station KJ24) in the central concourse to switch to the LRT Kelana Jaya Line.
