Increased Service Frequency from 1 August 2022

Kuala Lumpur, 26^th July 2022 – Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) is increasing its train service frequency from 1^st August 2022 to cater to the increasing passenger ridership.

As the first step towards full services, the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit will continue to be operated as a combined service but with improved frequency to provide greater comfort and convenience to the growing number of passengers.

The revised schedule will see the combined service frequency improving from every 15 minutes to every 10 minutes during weekday peak hours (6 services running every hour) while off-peak frequency will be increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes (3 services every hour). The first train departs at 5:00 am from both KL Sentral and KLIA2 every day. The last train departure is at 12:02 am from both terminals.

Air travellers and daily commuters are advised to check the train schedule and plan their journey ahead to minimise their waiting time as well as ensure they have plenty of time for flight check-in/bag drop at the airport.

There is no change to the airport transfer fare on the combined service. The fare on KLIA Transit has always been the same with KLIA Ekspres for travel between KLIA/KLIA2 and KL Sentral. Customers are encouraged to buy tickets online and enjoy a 10% discount on standard single and return tickets. They can also check the KLIA Ekspres website or app for special offers and enjoy savings of up to 27%.

The company targets to resume full KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services in Quarter 4 of this year, and thereupon the train operation will revert to the pre-pandemic service frequency and operation hours.

The journey time between KL Sentral and KLIA will be 35 minutes (KLIA2: 40 minutes).
The train will stop at all stations.
At KL Sentral, all departures and arrivals will be through the KLIA Transit Station.
Ticket Counter operation hours are from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm daily.
