Ticketing

1. What is the validity period for Standard Single and Return Trip tickets?

2. Can I purchase the KLIA Ekspres train ticket in advance prior to my travel date?

You can buy online through the KLIA Ekspres website or mobile app up to 6 months in advance, and these e-tickets are valid for 1 month from the selected travel date.

3. I wrongly entered origin/destination station as KLIA (T1 & T2) to KL Sentral instead of choosing KL Sentral to KLIA T2 when buying a KLIA Ekspres ticket online. How can I change the selection?

You can still use the e-ticket for the KL Sentral to KLIA T2 sector without modifying the sector selection.
The KLIA Ekspres ticket sector (KL Sentral – KLIA (T1 & T2), and vice versa) is interchangeable as the point-to-point fare is the same.

4. I bought a KLIA Ekspres Return Trip ticket for the KL Sentral-KLIA (T1 & T2) sector and used it to go to the airport. Can I use the remaining portion of the ticket for the same sector i.e. KL Sentral-KLIA (T1 & T2) at a later date?

Yes, you can, as long as the ticket is still valid.

5. I have already purchased a KLIA Ekspres Single Trip ticket from KLIA (T1 & T2) to KL Sentral, but now I need to attend a meeting in Putrajaya. Can I use the same ticket to catch a KLIA Transit train to Putrajaya?

KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit tickets are not interchangeable, as the train services use different ticketing systems. You must purchase a new ticket for your journey from KLIA (T1 & T2) to Putrajaya at the KLIA Transit Ticket Counter or the self-service kiosk.

Terms & Conditions

Child (6-15 years)

- - You can buy tickets for children aged 6-15 at the counter without having to buy an Adult ticket first.
  - You cannot buy tickets for children aged 6-15 in an online transaction without buying an Adult ticket.

Child (Below 6 years)

- - Children below 6 years old travel for free. However, you must still get tickets for each child, at no charge, before travelling.
  - You must purchase an Adult ticket first at the counter, kiosk or online before you can request for the free tickets at the counter. If you have already purchased the Adult ticket online or at the kiosk, please present it as proof to our Ticketing Officer. Maximum 3 free Child tickets per Adult ticket.
  - You cannot get free tickets for children below 6 in an online transaction without buying an Adult ticket.
  - Only one-way free Child tickets will be issued, and must be collected at the ticket counter each time you travel.
    - Proof of age is required (e.g. MyKid, Passport).
    - The free Child tickets will be valid for only 10 minutes upon issuance.

Child Ticket Activation

- - If you are buying tickets online, a barcode ticket will be issued for each child (6-15 years and below 6 years) during the online transaction. However, the barcode ticket is deactivated. You need to go to the counter to activate the barcode before it can be used at the gate.

Seat reservation is not required.

Tickets purchased are non-refundable.

KLIA Ekspres tickets are not interchangeable with KLIA Transit tickets.

Online transaction limit

- - Payment by credit/debit card or online banking (FPX): Maximum 10 tickets allowed per transaction or RM700 per credit/debit card or bank account per day
  - Payment by eWallet: Maximum 10 tickets allowed per transaction or RM700 per eWallet account per day (please note that it is also subject to the daily transaction limit that you set in your own eWallet account)
