New Train Schedule for ERL Services Effective 23rd May 2020

Kuala Lumpur, 21st May 2020 – Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) is revising its train schedule throughout the operations hours for the remainder of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period to suit the current passenger loads.

KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit are currently being operated as a combined service from 6:00 am to 11:10 pm every day. The revised train schedule will take effect from Saturday, 23rd May 2020.

Combined Service on Weekdays: Monday to Friday (post-Ramadan)
Off-peak 6:00 am to 7:00 am 60-minute intervals
Peak 7:00 am to 9:00 am 30-minute intervals
Off-peak 9:00 am to 5:00 pm 60-minute intervals
Peak 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm 30-minute intervals
Off-peak 7:00 pm to 11:10 pm 60-minute intervals

Combined Service on Weekends & National Public Holidays
All day 6:00 am to 11:10 pm 60-minute intervals

  • There will be NO train services before 6:00 am and after the last train departure at 11:10 pm.
  • The journey time between KL Sentral and KLIA will be 35 minutes (KLIA2: 39 minutes).
  • At KL Sentral, all departures and arrivals will be through the KLIA Transit Station.
  • Ticket Counters will be closed 10 minutes before the last train departure.

The schedule will be reviewed periodically and adjusted accordingly to suit the growing passenger ridership. A new schedule will be published prior to implementation, after consultation with and approval from the relevant authorities.

Travelling Safely During The MCO Period
To ensure that passengers are safe to travel on its trains, ERL has implemented precautionary measures in accordance with the Ministry of Transport’s guideline.

  1. Body temperature checks on all passengers are conducted before allowing them to enter the train station. Any passenger whose body temperature is 37.5⁰C or higher will be denied entry.
  2. All passengers must wear a mask at all times when using the train service.
  3. Passengers are urged to keep a safe distance of at least one metre apart at all times, while at the ticket counter, ticketing kiosk, the gate and on the platform.
  4. Safe distancing markers are placed on the train floor to indicate alternate seating.
  5. Hand sanitiser is available at all ERL ticket counters.
  6. Passengers are encouraged to go contactless/cashless when buying their tickets and avoid paying by cash. They can use contactless cards or Touch ‘n Go directly at the gate or pay with their preferred e-wallet at the counter. Standard tickets can also be bought at the self-service kiosk. For KLIA Ekspres passengers, standard and promotion tickets can be bought online via its website and app.
  7. Cleaning frequency of high contact areas at stations have been tripled throughout the day since early February 2020.
  8. All high contact areas on the trains are being disinfected and train seat steam cleaning is being conducted during nightly deep cleaning.
