Kuala Lumpur, 23 January 2024 – The Government of Malaysia and ERL signed a Supplemental Concession Agreement witnessed by YB Tuan Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport on 23 January 2024. Under the signed Supplemental Agreement, ERL will implement a market-driven fare structure which will benefit the public, the government and ERL.

ERL was granted a 30-year extension from 2029 to 2059 which allows ERL to plan and implement investments to improve facilities and services.

The Supplemental Concession Agreement was signed by Muhammad Hariz Mohd Nadzmi, Board of Directors and Noormah Mohd Noor, CEO on behalf of ERL and the Government of Malaysia was represented by Dato’ Jana Santhiran Muniayan, Secretary General and Wan Mohd Asraf Wan Salleh, Under Secretary (Land Division) from the Ministry of Transport.
