If you have a flight layover at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, here are a few tips to make the most of your transit! 1. Enjoy Malaysian cuisine
Satisfy your cravings with a taste of Malaysia at the cafes, restaurants and food courts at KL International Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Explore local favourites from nasi lemak to noodles and Peranakan dishes, and wash the delicious food down with ‘teh tarik’ (foamy hot tea), which will surely give you a pick-me-up.
2. Shop
Go on a shopping spree even if you don’t want to leave the airport! There’s something for every traveler - from tempting chocolates to luxury brands and fine jewellery at the duty free outlets, emporiums and souvenir shops. You can also hop on the free shuttle and head to Mitsui Outlet Park for more shopping options (9 minutes from KLInternational Airport Terminal 1 and 13 minutes from Terminal 2). 3. Go sightseeing
If you have a long layover in Kuala Lumpur (more than 8 hours), take the opportunity to explore the city. Get on the KLIA Ekspres and reach the city centre in 28 minutes (from Terminal 1), and then visit iconic landmarks like the Petronas Twin Towers.
