Deputy Vice President, Marketing Management

Responsible for:

1- Increasing the company’s total revenue and market share.
2- Achieving the revenue targets set by the company.
3- The development, management and implementation of

      • the company’s marketing communication, branding and promotional activities
      • pricing/tariff, ticketing and product development
      • partnerships/joint marketing activities and commercial deals
      • the company’s e-commerce, digital marketing and social media strategies
      • corporate communication, industry affairs and media relations
      • marketing services and operations activities
      • annual business plan, marketing plan and budget
  1. Develop marketing strategies and programmes for long term and ad hoc implementation and monitoring its effectiveness.
  2.  Responsible for communication message for all products and services including but not limited to planning, creative concept, copywriting, production and placement of materials.
  3. Plan and implement media buy and advertising activities, POS/communication materials, events and exhibitions.
  4. Assist the Head of Management with new product development and packaging, product improvements, pricing and competitor studies, tariff administration, ticketing implementation and commercial incentives.
  5. Identify, develop and manage partnerships with business partners for the purpose of expanding ERL’s distribution channels, increasing awareness of its products, growing its customer base and revenue.
  6. Develop and implement e-commerce, e-marketing and social media strategies to support revenue generation, grow the customer/client database and increase online presence/awareness, and continually monitor online revenue performance/target achievement.
  7. Identify systems requirements and enhancements to support and increase revenue generation, oversee the implementation and ensure successful system integration with partners where applicable.
  8. Increase the awareness of the company’s products and services on the internet through continual website improvements and optimisation, content updates, promotional activities, customer engagement, online advertising and hyperlinks with third parties.
  9. Responsible for all communication with the media and the public including compiling, maintaining and supplying accurate material and information on the company to relevant parties.
  10. Establish and maintain rapport with relevant contacts in the media including post-event follow-ups.
  11. Handle media and corporate events including but not limited to preparation of programme, media release, speeches and talking points, oversee the event organisation and monitor expenses.
  12. Handle corporate communication with the authorities, and attend to protocol requirements where applicable.
  13. Custodian of the company’s corporate identity, and to ensure the correct usage of the company’s marks/logos in all materials.
  14. Identify opportunities for the company to improve its corporate image, including but not limited to sponsorship participation, corporate social responsibility programmes and award competitions.
  15. Oversee the service delivery and operational requirements related to marketing products, including training needs, compliance and service recovery.
  16. Compile and provide regular reports/updates to the Head of Management including conducting data and competitor analysis, identifying causes/gaps/opportunities, and making recommendations to the management where required to ensure ERL product positioning remains relevant.
  17. Prepare annual business/marketing plan and expenditure budget, and monitor budget spending.
  18. To guide and motivate staff under charge.
  19. To monitor attendance, performance and discipline of staff as well as plan and recommend staff development and training requirements.
  20. Assist the company in any other tasks and responsibilities deemed appropriate, as and when required.
  21. To establish and maintain a consistent set of marketing practices and policies.
Requirements:

 

  1. Possess a recognised Degree in Business Studies/Marketing/IT or its equivalent professional qualifications
  2. Strong decision-making ability, leadership and people management skills with a minimum of 10 years experience handling similar capacity
  3. Passion for marketing with experience in traditional and digital marketing environments
  4. Experience in travel and transportation industry is preferred
  5. Must have hands-on experience in digital/SEO/SEM, social media and content marketing. Knowledge of the latest trends and insights such as digital wallets/payment innovations and hands-on experience in digital/social media/content marketing and UI/UX would be an added advantage
  6. A result-driven, fast learner with strong planning, organisational, communication, analytical, presentation and problem-solving skills
  7. Strong written and oral communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  8. Highly proficient in MS Office
  9. Preferably between 35 to 45 years of age

Note :

  • Successful candidate will be offered a 2 years’ employment contract with possibility to be absorbed as permanent (based on performance) at the end of the contract.
  • Work location: KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur
